The start of the academic year 2017/2018 of the University of Tlemcen was given Tuesday September 26, 2017 by the Rector of the University Prof. Mustapha Djaafour, in the auditorium of the city center pole, in the presence of the Wali of Tlemcen, Mr. BEN YAICHE Ali, of the P / APW and the local civil authorities, Vices Rectors, Deans of faculties, teachers and students, where he presented the main thrusts of the institution's project according to the vision and the procedures by which the conditions of modernity and excellence will be established.

After the interpretation of the Algerian national anthem, this ceremony was followed by the protocolary speech of the Wali of Tlemcen, who emphasized on the importance of the university training in economic development.

And on this occasion, Professor BERBER Necib presented a course entitled "Cancer Care in Algeria: Perspectives and Role of the University".

It is worth mentioning that during this academic opening 2017-2018, it was also the opportunity to present the innovative projects of the students under the direction of the Director of the Entrepreneurship House wafaa Berrached.

At the end of this opening ceremony, the Rector Prof. Mustapha Djaafour thanked all the audience and wished everyone a successful academic year.
