As part of the implementation of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s strategy to support higher education institutions in their transition to the Fourth Generation University model, Abou Bekr Belkaïd University of Tlemcen took part, on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, in the proceedings of the second regional meeting organized at Djillali Liabès University in Sidi Bel Abbès, under the auspices of the National Committee for the Support and Monitoring of this Transition.

The proceedings began at 9:00 a.m. with a welcome address by Professor Bouziâni Merahi, Rector of Djillali Liabès University, followed by a speech from Professor Ahmed Chaâlal, President of the Regional Conference of Western Universities (CRUO). Then, the Chair of the National Committee, Professor Nawal Abdelatif Mami, delivered a presentation emphasizing the importance of this meeting and detailed the results of the evaluation questionnaire distributed to the universities. This questionnaire served as a starting point to assess their readiness for the transition to the Fourth Generation University model.

The meeting also featured a series of insightful presentations by members of the National Committee, namely:
