On Thursday, January 30, 2025, the University of Tlemcen hosted a scientific visit by Sheikh Akramah Sabri, Imam of Al-Aqsa Mosque and President of the Islamic Supreme Authority in  Al-Qods, accompanied by Professor Mabrouk Zaid El Kheir, President of the High Islamic Council, in the presence of local and university authorities.

 

Sheikh Sabri delivered a lecture entitled “Reflections on the Occasion of Isra and Mi’raj”, highlighting the spiritual and religious significance of Al-Aqsa Mosque and calling for unity among Muslims and support for the Palestinian cause.

 

The event concluded with the signing of a partnership agreement between the University of Tlemcen and the High Islamic Council to strengthen academic and religious cooperation.

 

This visit represented a notable spiritual and intellectual moment, reflecting the deep ties between Algeria and Palestine and reaffirming the university’s commitment to promoting just causes within the Muslim world.
