A team from the Blue Economy program, funded by the European Union in Algeria under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Fisheries, visited the University of Tlemcen. The visit began yesterday, Wednesday, March 19, 2025, with working sessions involving several directors and members of research teams from scientific laboratories at the Faculty of Natural and Life Sciences, Earth Sciences, and the Universe. The discussions focused on opportunities for cooperation in research and innovation, particularly in marine biotechnology, as well as exploring potential areas for future collaboration.
Additionally, the team met with the Dean of the Faculty of Natural and Life Sciences, Earth Sciences, and the Universe to examine possibilities for developing cooperation and strengthening partnership prospects in research and training.
Today, the team held a meeting with the university rector, Professor MEGHACHOU Mourad, to discuss the objectives of the Blue Economy programme and the potential to expand cooperation between the university and stakeholders in this field, contributing to the development of scientific research and innovation in marine biotechnology.
