Tlemcen Hosts the 22nd Edition of the National Days of Microbiology

Abou Bekr Belkaid University—Tlemcen vibrates to the rhythm of science by launching the 22nd edition of the National Days of Microbiology, taking place on April 29 and 30, 2025, at the Tlemcen National Park (Lalla Setti Plateau). This scientific event marks a strong comeback for the Algerian Society of Microbiology (SAM) after a five-year hiatus.

The event is jointly organised by the Laboratory of Applied Microbiology in Nutrition and Environment (LAMABE) and the Algerian Society of Microbiology. It aims to promote research in this vital field by attracting a new generation of young researchers and fostering scientific exchange and collaboration across various microbiology disciplines.

The National Days highlight the latest advancements in the field, encourage the development of scientific skills, and expand the base of specialised expertise. The event also emphasises environmental and public health dimensions, aiming to raise environmental awareness and apply microbiology to improve public health outcomes.

Thus, the 22nd edition of the National Days of Microbiology serves as a strategic scientific platform striving to propel national research towards broader and more impactful horizons in Algeria.
