The defence of the first doctoral thesis  "1275 Economic Enterprises" (patent) took place on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Life Sciences, Earth Sciences, and the Universe. The thesis was presented by PhD candidate Reghi Halima, under the supervision of Professor Souleimane Nassima Amel and Dr. Fatiha Sari, in the presence of a scientific jury composed of Professor Hafida Merzougue (chair), Dr. Bachir Bensenane (University of Tlemcen), Dr. Amal Mejdoub (University of Oran), and Ismahan Amessaouden (University of Tissemsilt), as well as Professor Nihal Kellouche, Director of the Centre for Technology and Innovation Support (CATI), who assisted the candidate in writing her patent.

This research, conducted at the PPABioNut laboratory, falls within the field of pathophysiology through the purification of alpha-lactalbumin from camel milk and its biological effects on metabolic disorders associated with obesity and metabolic diseases.

In addition to being published in a prestigious international journal (impact factor 7.8), this research culminated in two patents, one of which has already been granted, and the other is in the process of validation.
