As part of efforts to strengthen ties between the academic world and socio-economic sectors, the i2E Center at Abou Bekr Belkaïd University of Tlemcen hosted a delegation this week from the Directorate of Maritime Fisheries and Aquaculture of the Tlemcen province. Led by its director, Mr. Bougabrine Sehnoune, this official visit was carried out with the approval of the University’s rector, Professor Mourad Meghachou, a strong advocate for opening the institution to its local environment.
The meeting was held in the presence of the director of the i2E Center, Mr. Zakaria Sarri Hassoun, as well as representatives from various innovation and entrepreneurship support structures, notably the university incubator, represented by Mr. Soufiane Souleimane, and the Entrepreneurship Development Center, represented by Ms. Wafa Berber and Ms. Wasila Laâchachi.
This initiative follows the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Directorate of Fisheries and the University’s Vice-Rectorate for External Relations. It aimes to explore opportunities for the valorization of prototypes developed under the 1275 projects during the 2024–2025 academic year, with the aim of considering their large-scale deployment in the fisheries and aquaculture sector.
