In a festive atmosphere, the University of Tlemcen officially launched the 2025-2026 academic year on Monday, September 22, 2025. The ceremony took place at the auditorium of the Faculty of Natural and Life Sciences, Earth and Universe Sciences, in the presence of Mr. Youssef Bechlaoui, Governor of Tlemcen, along with local civil and military authorities, members of the university community, social partners, and media representatives.

 

The event featured official addresses highlighting the pivotal role of the university in fostering local and national development, an academic lecture by Professor Mohamed Saidi on “Citizenship in University Behavior”, as well as the recognition of outstanding teachers and students. Participants also visited a student exhibition showcasing scientific achievements and creative projects.

 

On this occasion, the university leadership reaffirmed its commitment to further developing academic programs, strengthening scientific research, and modernizing infrastructure, with the aim of consolidating the University of Tlemcen’s position within the national higher education landscape
