As part of the academic cooperation between the University of Tlemcen and the Pan African University Institute for Water and Energy Sciences (including Climate Change) (PAUWES), the Centre for Intensive Language Teaching (CEIL) organized a festive ceremony to mark the closing of the eleventh training session for PAUWES students who attended English and French language courses.
The ceremony was held in the presence of Pr. MEGHACHOU Mourad, Rector of the University of Tlemcen, who gave an opening speech, followed by Pr. ZERGA Abdellatif, Director of PAUWES, who praised the remarkable efforts made by the center in language teaching and highlighted the fruitful cooperation between the two institutions.
Also in attendance were Prof. Konate, Head of Administration and Finance at PAUWES, Pr. Abdelhafid Sassi, Deputy Director of the Institute, as well as a distinguished group of teachers and honorary guests, including Pr. Abderrahmane KHERBOUCHE, Dean of the Faculty of Letters and Languages, Pr. Nasreddine BENDAOUED, Dean of the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences, Pr. Mohamed Saidi, guest of honor, Pr. Ezzedine BENAISSA, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Letters and Languages, and Pr. Ilham SERIR MORTAD, English language expert at CEIL.
In her address, Pr. SAIDI Nassima, Director of CEIL, expressed her pride in the PAUWES students, encouraging them to continue their language learning journey through the Arabic language program for non-Arabic speakers. She also thanked the entire teaching and administrative staff for their dedication and professionalism throughout the training.

At the end of the ceremony, the center, in collaboration with the Arabic language teaching team for non-Arabic speakers affiliated with the SILAD research laboratory, organized a cultural workshop in the form of a “tea ceremony” entitled: "Tlemcen: A Mosaic of Language and Culture."
This workshop allowed students to discover traditional Tlemcen pastries and understand their cultural and symbolic value.
The event was hosted by Wafaa Benazza, a translation student, in a warm and joyful atmosphere. The students expressed their satisfaction and enthusiasm for this enriching linguistic and cultural experience, and expressed their desire to continue their academic success.
