On Monday, October 20, 2025, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Tlemcen hosted the national scientific Conference titled: “Health Challenges in the Era of Demographic and Social Changes: Sustainable Visions and Practices”, under the supervision of dr.TOUIL Chahrazed , in a hybrid format (on-site and online).

 

The event aims to analyze the impact of demographic and social transformations on public health and to foster the exchange of knowledge and ideas on sustainable strategies to strengthen public health and improve quality of life.

 

The conference brought together a group of professors, researchers, and institutional representatives, including members from the Health Directorate, the Directorate of Programming and Budget Monitoring, and the General Secretariat of the Wilaya of Tlemcen, giving the discussions a comprehensive scientific and institutional dimension.

 

The main themes addressed were:

 

Demographic changes and their impact on population health.

 

Health risks threatening healthcare systems.

 

Prevention and protection strategies.

 

Sustainable healthcare approaches.

 

 

This scientific meeting seeks to propose mechanisms to improve healthcare services, ensuring they meet current and future population needs, and to contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals through evidence-based and practical approaches.
