The University of Tlemcen organized, on October 23, 2025, an economic colloquium entitled “Supporting young idea and project holders toward the creation of their enterprises”, held under the theme “Entrepreneurship: a strategic pillar for sustainable economic development.”
Initiated by the Tafna chamber of commerce and industry – Tlemcen, in collaboration with the University campus of Tlemcen, this event, placed under the high patronage of the Director General of the Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, brought together representatives from academia, public institutions, and the business sector, including the University’s Rector, Pr.MEGHACHOU Mourad, and the Director of the CCI, Mr.SAIDANI Zakaria.
The main objective of the colloquium was to promote an entrepreneurial culture within the academic environment and to support young innovators in transforming their ideas into viable economic projects capable of generating value and contributing to sustainable development.
The discussions were organized around two main axes:
1. The University one-stop university office as a model of cooperation between universities and public administrations to facilitate business creation (presented by Pr. SARI HASSOUN Zakaria ).
2. Financing and entrepreneurship, focusing on the mechanisms of a financial system conducive to innovation and enterprise creation (presented by Pr. DERFOUF Mohamed Amine ).
The colloquium brought together various institutional actors — social funds, support agencies, and financial institutions — within an integrated framework aimed at strengthening young people’s entrepreneurial capacities.
The event concluded with the signing of a framework agreement between the university of Tlemcen and the Tafna chamber of commerce and industry, aimed at promoting cooperation in training, research, innovation, and economic support, thereby contributing to the advancement of sustainable local development
