The Enterprise Management and Social Capital Management Laboratory (MECAS) at the Faculty of Economic, Commercial, and Management Sciences organized, on Thursday, October 23, 2025, a national forum held both in-person and online, titled:
"Building and Enhancing the Competitiveness of Small and Medium Enterprises in Algeria for the Internationalization of Their Activities: Challenges and Opportunities", under the chairmanship of Pr. DJELTI Ghanem.
The forum aimed to achieve several key objectives, including:

Highlighting the role and importance of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the Algerian economy and emphasizing the need to strengthen their competitiveness to support the internationalization of their activities.

Identifying strengths to leverage and weaknesses to address in SMEs, while shedding light on Algeria’s economic environment and business climate.

Stressing the necessity for SMEs to access foreign markets as a strategic approach to diversify exports beyond the hydrocarbons sector and promote economic diversification.
The forum addressed several specialized academic themes, including:

The role and importance of SMEs in the Algerian economy and the evolution of the business climate.

Government challenges in building and enhancing the competitive capacities of SMEs.

The significance of economic diversification in promoting non-hydrocarbon exports through SMEs.

The contribution of entrepreneurial thinking in supporting state efforts for economic diversification and export expansion.

The role of Algerian economic diplomacy in the internationalization of SMEs’ activities.
The scientific sessions were marked by rich contributions covering both theoretical and practical aspects of competitiveness and the internationalization of Algerian enterprises, through an open academic and professional discussion involving researchers, experts, and economic stakeholders.
The forum brought together a distinguished group of professors and researchers, notably Pr.BENHABIBABDELRAZAK, whose valuable intervention enriched the discussions and contributed significantly to the forum’s themes.
