An initiation day on intellectual property was held today at the auditorium of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Tlemcen, led by Pr. Klouche Nihel , Director of the Technology and Innovation Support Center (CATI).

This conference, entitled “Introduction to Intellectual Property”, was organized as part of Decree 1275 and was intended for students and researchers wishing to gain a better understanding of the issues related to the protection and promotion of their ideas and innovations.

The main topics covered included:

• The fundamental concepts of intellectual property (IP) and their practical applications.

• Copyright, patents, and trade secrets.

• The tools and resources provided by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO
