The Rector of the University of Tlemcen, Prof. MEGHACHOU Mourad, has the distinguished honor of inviting you to attend the commemorative conference dedicated to the memory of Alfred Berenguer, a native of Tlemcen, a devoted activist for Algeria’s independence, and a distinguished contributor during the post-independence era.

Alfred Berenguer dedicated his life to the principles of justice, liberty, and human dignity. He actively participated in the liberation struggle within the National Liberation Front (FLN), which appointed him, in the late 1960s, as Ambassador to Latin America to rally the support of these countries for the Algerian cause.
