The University of Tlemcen organized, on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at the city center pole, the official ceremony marking the closing of Global Entrepreneurship Week. The event was attended by Mr. Youssef Bechelaoui, Wali of the Tlemcen Province, the President of the People's Provincial Assembly, local civil and military authorities, as well as representatives of the university community and economic partners.
The celebration brought together students with innovative projects, registered under Ministerial Decision No. 1275, to highlight the work accomplished and the University's commitment to guiding young people toward professional paths based on innovation and initiative.
In his speech, Professor Mourad Meghachou, Rector of the University of Tlemcen, emphasized that entrepreneurship represents both an intellectual and practical journey, enabling ideas to be transformed into projects with a strong societal impact. He reaffirmed the University’s commitment to supporting its students, providing them with opportunities, and equipping them with the necessary tools to advance with confidence.
Mr. Youssef Bechelaoui, Wali of the province, expressed his pride in the initiatives presented by the students through exhibitions, interactive panels, innovative applications, and promising prototypes. He highlighted that these projects reflect the dynamic spirit of a new generation convinced that knowledge is a key lever for creating practical solutions and contributing to local and national development. The Wali reiterated the authorities’ support for such initiatives, which serve as drivers of innovation and ambition for Algeria.
The day’s program was enriched with conferences led by experts and professionals in innovation and entrepreneurship, providing students with practical feedback and guidance on start-up creation, project management, and understanding the contemporary economic environment.
Practical workshops also allowed participants to learn how to structure their ideas, develop viable business models, master the art of concise presentations, and create professional visual materials. These sessions encouraged the emergence of innovative ideas and showcased talent before an audience.
The closing ceremony included the awarding of official certificates to the students, now recognized as creative graduates and project holders, highlighting the value of their work and the transformation of ideas into concrete initiatives aimed at the future.
The week concluded with the signing of a cooperation agreement between the University of Tlemcen’s i2E Student Center and the National Agency for Microcredit Management (ANGEM), aimed at strengthening collaboration between the University and public institutions to effectively support innovative project holders.
