The Institute of Applied Sciences and Technologies at the University of Tlemcen hosted ,on Tuesday, November 28, 2025 ,the branch meeting and the installation of the Wilaya office of the Free General Students’ Union (UGEL), under the chairmanship of student Ben Sofiane Maâmer, following the renewed confidence granted to him by Secretary-General Belmekhefi Farouq, who reaffirmed his full support for the office.

The ceremony, supervised by Younes Amara, member of the national executive board, provided an opportunity to present an annual program aimed at strengthening student activities and promoting university life.

During the meeting, Ben Sofiane Maâmer gave a concise report on the committee’s work and the organizational status of the branch. The event concluded with a set of recommendations to promote responsible student engagement, support organizational performance, and develop activities within the university..
