As part of strengthening the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among students, and in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research aimed at supporting young talents in modern technology fields, a national online awareness session was organized on Sunday, December 14, 2025, via videoconference on the Huawei ICT 2025–2026 Competition, under the joint auspices of the National Coordinating Committee for the Monitoring of University Innovation and Entrepreneurship and partner interfaces, in coordination with Huawei Algeria, with broad participation from higher education institutions across the country.

In this context, the University of Tlemcen, like other Algerian higher education institutions, took part in the session, with participants gathering in the Central Library conference hall to follow the proceedings. During the session, a detailed presentation was delivered on the content and objectives of the Huawei ICT Competition, highlighting the opportunities available to students in the fields of information and communication technologies, networks, artificial intelligence, and digital innovation, as well as the registration procedures, participation requirements, and the role of the Huawei ICT University Academy in supporting and mentoring students.

It was emphasized on this occasion that the registration period for participating students has been extended until Wednesday, December 25, 2025, to allow the largest possible number of students to take part in this prestigious international competition.

This awareness session reaffirms the commitment of the higher education and scientific research sector to supporting partnerships with international technology actors and to enhancing students’ digital skills, thereby contributing to the formation of a university generation capable of innovating, competing, and fully integrating into the digital economy.
