The university business incubator of Abou Bekr Belkaïd University of Tlemcen, at the Student Center I2E, has been ranked fifth nationwide in the 2025 periodic classification of business incubators (public, private, and university-based), conducted by the Ministry of the Knowledge Economy, Start-ups and Micro-enterprises.

The distinction was announced during an official award ceremony held on January 26, 2026, at the Ministry’s headquarters, in the presence of senior government officials, including the Minister of the Knowledge Economy, Start-ups and Micro-enterprises, the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and representatives from various national sectors.

This recognition highlights the sustained efforts of the University of Tlemcen in promoting university entrepreneurship, supporting innovation-driven projects, and fostering start-ups emerging from the academic ecosystem. It further underscores the university’s growing role in strengthening a national innovation ecosystem aligned with the principles of the knowledge-based economy.

The achievement also reflects effective coordination among the university’s stakeholders and its commitment to implementing national strategies aimed at enhancing research valorization and encouraging entrepreneurial initiatives among students and project leaders, in line with public policies for sustainable economic development.
