Abou Bekr Belkaid University of Tlemcen is delighted to welcome academic staff, administrative staff, and students from the University of Primorska (UPR), Slovenia, for a full week dedicated to academic exchange, intercultural dialogue, and shared learning.
The week opened with an official welcome address by Prof. Mourad Meghachou, Rector of the University of Tlemcen, alongside a special online address by H.E. the Ambassador of Slovenia.
The sessions were moderated by Prof. Ali Hamza Cherif, Vice-Rector for External Relations, and the internationalisation strategy of the University of Tlemcen was presented by Prof. Latifa Negadi.
Conference & debate programme:
11:50 – 12:15: Prof. YOUSSEFI Amal (Archaeology) — “Archaeology within the Thematic Area of Geography”.
12:15 – 12:55: Prof. Miha Koderman (UPR) — “Desert and Alpine Landscapes Shaping Population and Culture: Algeria (Tlemcen Province) and Slovenia Compared”.
Throughout the week, a wide range of pedagogical, academic, and interactive activities will take place, along with cultural events designed to strengthen mutual understanding and foster long-term cooperation between the two institutions.
