UNESCO annouces the opening of the call for nominations for the UNISCO-Juan Bosch prize- 2026 edition

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) announces the opening of nominations for the UNESCO/Juan Bosch Prize 2026. The Prize aims to promote research in the social and human sciences in Latin America and the Caribbean and to recognize outstanding young researchers in the field of social development policies.
 
Note:
  • The Prize is funded by the Government of the Dominican Republic and is endowed with USD 12,000, awarded to the author(s) of the winning thesis
  • Eligible candidates must be under 40 years of age
  • Submitted research must address positive social transformations in Latin America and the Caribbean.
  • Each nomination file must include a written recommendation highlighting the candidate’s academic background, achievements, and work demonstrating their contribution to social transformations in the region.
Submission Procedure:
  • Nominations must be submitted through the Algerian National Commission for UNESCO, which is responsible for forwarding them before 15 February 2026.
  • Applications submitted directly by individual candidates will not be accepted.
