On the occasion of National Martyrs’ Day, observed annually on February 18, the Rector of the University has the honor to invite you to attend the commemorative ceremony to be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at the Faculty of Medicine.
Your esteemed presence will greatly honor this occasion and contribute to paying tribute to the memory of our valiant martyrs, while reaffirming our commitment to preserving and transmitting their noble sacrifices for the Nation.
Program of the Commemoration
10:30 a.m – Welcome of guests at the entrance of the Faculty of Medicine.
10:45 a.m– Flag-raising ceremony and recitation of Al-Fatiha in memory of the martyrs.
11:00 a.m – Proceeding to the Conference Hall of the Department of Pharmacy (3rd floor).
11:10 a.m – Address by the Rector of the University.
11:20 a.m –Address by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine..
11:30 a.m –Speech by a representative of the revolutionary family.
11:40 a.m – Speech by a representative of the family of the Martyr, Dr. BENZARDJEBE Ben Aouda, may he rest in peace.
11:55 a.m – Presentation on the life and legacy of the Martyr, Dr. BENZARDJEBE Ben Aouda..
12:15 p.m– Lecture delivered by a History professor on the revolutionary path of the Martyr, Dr. Benzardjebe Ben Aouda.
12:30 p.m–Recognition ceremony and closing of the commemoration.
