Second Edition of the “Golden Throat” Qur’an Tajwid Competition at the Faculty of Letters and Arts

In a spiritually uplifting atmosphere, enriched by the blessings of the holy month of Ramadan, the Agadir Club of the Department of Arabic Language and Literature at the Faculty of Letters and Arts organized the second edition of the “Golden Throat” Qur’an Tajwid Competition, in partnership with the Department of Arabic Language and Literature and the Laboratory for the Modernization of Arabic Grammar.
The ceremony was honored by the presence of the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Abdelrahman Kharoubouch, the Head of Department, Dr. Taybi Hora, the Head of the Laboratory, Dr. Cheikhi Nouria, and the Club Supervisor, Ms. Houmani Leila.
The competition brought together a large number of students from various faculties, institutes, and higher schools, reflecting their devotion to the Qur’an and their mastery of the rules of recitation. The jury, composed of Dr. Zoubeir Ahmed Ibrahim and Dr. Ilyas Salmi from the Department of Arabic Language and Literature, and Dr. Bensenane Souhaib from the Department of Sharia, evaluated the performances according to strict criteria, focusing on Tajwid accuracy and vocal quality.
The preliminary rounds resulted in the selection of ten finalists:
Safwat Mezouar, Mostapha Ahmed Halima, Saidi Djamal Eddine, Bouafia Abdallah, Chamloul Amira Aïcha, Touati Noura, Warda Marzouk, Ben Amer Sundus Ghofran, Aya Oujamaâ, and Awatif Abidat.
The final round will be held at a later date.
