The Faculty of Foreign Languages at the University of Tlemcen hosted today, Monday, an exceptional intellectual seminar entitled “The Legacy of Lorca” (El Legado de Lorca), organized in collaboration with the Cervantes Institute and the Spanish Embassy, as part of efforts to strengthen cultural and scientific cooperation and to open up to international literary experiences.
The seminar was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Pr. Wassila Mouro, the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Letters, Pr. Abdel Rahman Kherbouch, and Mr. Juan Manuel Cid Muñoz, Director of the Cervantes Institute – Oran, alongside a number of faculty members and students interested in Spanish literature and culture.
The lecture was delivered by researcher and expert Juan Castilla Brazales, representing the Patronato Federico García Lorca, who discussed the literary and human legacy of the Spanish poet Federico García Lorca, highlighting his contributions to world literature and the impact of his works on the contemporary cultural scene.
Afterwards, the guests visited the Andalusian Studies Laboratory at the Faculty of Arts and Letters, where they were welcomed by the laboratory director, Pr Hicham BenSenoussi, who presented an overview of the laboratory’s activities and its main scientific conferences.
