The official inauguration of the 19th Pediatric Meeting of Tlemcen took place on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at the auditorium of the Faculty of Medicine (downtown pole), marking the launch of a major scientific event dedicated to pediatrics.

The event was honored by the presence of the Rector of the University of Tlemcen, Pr .MEGHACHOU Mourad , along with a panel of experts, professors, and healthcare professionals.

The program includes plenary sessions, keynote lectures, and training workshops designed for physicians and medical residents. The scientific sessions cover key topics in pediatrics, including metabolic diseases, childhood asthma, and neonatal pathologies, with the participation of both national and international speakers.

In parallel, practical workshops are being held on breastfeeding and the organization of care for hospitalized newborns.

Organized by the Association for the Promotion of Child Health of Tlemcen (APSET) in collaboration with the University of Tlemcen, this meeting serves as a privileged platform for scientific exchange and knowledge updating, reaffirming Tlemcen’s position as a center of excellence in pediatric training and research
