The meeting room at the University’s Rectorate hosted, on the morning of Tuesday, May 5, 2026, a coordination meeting chaired by the University Rector, Pr.MEGHACHOU Mourad, in the presence of the Vice-Rector in charge of External Relations, Pr. HAMZA CHERIF Ali, along with representatives of social partners. This meeting was held in implementation of the recommendations of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and in line with the directives of the Western Regional Conference of Universities.

All accredited trade unions were invited to attend. The meeting saw the participation of representatives from the union of hospital-university professors, the National Autonomous Union of Higher Education Personnel (SNAPES), as well as the General Union of Algerian Workers (UGTA), within a framework aimed at strengthening institutional dialogue on academic and international programs.

This meeting follows the completion of the data consolidation process concerning teachers registered in language immersion programs under the Short-Term Mobility Program (MCD), in addition to the availability of financial data related to training costs, enabling the presentation of a precise and comprehensive overview of applications.

Discussions also addressed the mechanisms for allocating benefits according to established priorities and the applicable regulatory framework, with emphasis on ensuring transparency and fairness, and enhancing the effectiveness of the program in supporting capacity building and improving the performance of academic staff.

This meeting is part of the ongoing policy of consultation with social partners and aims to improve the management of international cooperation programs, in alignment with the strategic orientations of the Higher Education and Scientific Research sector.
