The University of Tlemcen hereby informs all students intending to pursue postgraduate studies that, within the framework of the cooperation agreement in higher education and scientific research concluded between the Government of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, applications are invited for PhD scholarship for Algerian students for the 2026–2027 academic year, to undertake doctoral studies at Nouakchott Al-Aasriya University (Mauritania).
The eligible fields of study include: Biological Sciences, Chemistry,Biology,Mathematics, Computer Science,Physics, Law,Economics,
Management Sciences,Geography,Arabic Literature, History.
This opportunity is open to students ranked among the top of their cohort , and enrolled in the current academic year 2025–2026.
Faculties are responsible for the pre-selection of candidates in accordance with the eligibility criteria and for forwarding the application files to the Vice Rectorate for External Relations (VREX) no later than 24 May 2026, with a mandatory electronic copy of the application dossier.
The application dossier must include the following documents:
- Official baccalaureate transcript.
- Copies of university academic transcripts.
- Copy of the Bachelor’s degree certificate.
- Certificate of enrolment in the second year of Master’s studies for the 2025–2026 academic year.
- Certificate of academic ranking in the cohort.
- PhD research proposal (maximum five pages, including a clear presentation of the research project).
- Copy of the first page of the passport.
