As part of its efforts to strengthen partnerships between higher education institutions and national research organizations, and in accordance with its policy of openness towards stakeholders in research and innovation, the University of Tlemcen has signed a framework agreement on scientific and academic cooperation with the Centre for Research in Applied Mathematics (CRMA).
The agreement was signed by Pr. Mourad MEGHACHOU, Rector of the University of Tlemcen, and Pr .Ahmed SAMRI, Director of the Centre for Research in Applied Mathematics.
The agreement establishes a structured framework for cooperation between the two institutions with the aim of advancing scientific research, strengthening research-based education, and promoting the exchange of expertise, skills, and best practices.
The partnership is built around several strategic objectives, including enhancing scientific exchanges among faculty members, researchers, and students; promoting joint research projects in the fields of mathematics, artificial intelligence, and their applications across various scientific disciplines; and pooling scientific resources and expertise to address current scientific and technological challenges.
The cooperation will encompass the development of national and international collaborative research projects, the hosting of University of Tlemcen students at CRMA for internships, Master's dissertations, and final-year projects, as well as the promotion of joint supervision of doctoral theses. The agreement also provides for the joint organization of conferences, seminars, summer schools, and other specialized scientific events, while encouraging the active participation of researchers and experts from both institutions in scientific, educational, and training activities.
Furthermore, students and researchers involved in joint projects will have access to CRMA's research infrastructure, technological platforms, scientific equipment, and documentary resources. The agreement also promotes joint scientific publications and the development of collaborative initiatives in priority areas, particularly artificial intelligence, applied mathematics, and engineering sciences.
Through this agreement, the University of Tlemcen and the Centre for Research in Applied Mathematics reaffirm their shared commitment to building a sustainable scientific partnership founded on excellence, innovation, and knowledge sharing. This collaboration is expected to strengthen the quality of research and education, enhance the visibility of national scientific expertise, and further reinforce the standing of both institutions within Algeria's research, innovation, and technological development ecosystem.
