The opening ceremony was chaired by Ms. Samira Chader, Sub-director for cooperation projects at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in the presence of the Rector of the University of Tlemcen, Prof. Mourad MEGHACHOU. In his opening remarks, Prof. MEGHACHOU emphasized that internationalization has become a strategic imperative for enhancing universities' development, competitiveness, and academic and scientific visibility. It is led by two European experts involved in the IPTICAR project and includes a series of interactive workshops and presentations focusing on contemporary approaches to university internationalization and on integrating this dimension into institutional development strategies.
The IPTICAR project aims to support higher education institutions in designing and implementing effective internationalization strategies, promoting best practices in academic cooperation, enhancing the quality of teaching and scientific research, and strengthening the international standing of Algerian universities within the global higher education landscape.
