The University of Tlemcen concluded a three-day training programme on 24 June 2026, held at the Mustapha Djaafour auditorium on the downtown campus, as part of the IPTICAR – Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) project. The programme was organized under the theme “Internationalization as a Strategic Pillar of the University Institutional Project.”

The event brought together representatives from the member institutions of the Western Regional Conference of Universities (CRUO), along with university administrators, academic staff, and specialists in international cooperation and international relations.

Delivered by two European experts from the IPTICAR consortium, the programme featured a series of interactive workshops and presentations focusing on integrating the international dimension into institutional strategies, strengthening the internationalization of higher education institutions, and developing sustainable academic partnerships based on international best practices.

The training programme also provided a platform for participants to exchange experiences and discuss the challenges and opportunities associated with the internationalization of higher education.

This initiative forms part of the objectives of the IPTICAR project, which aims to strengthen the institutional capacities of universities, promote international academic cooperation, enhance the quality of higher education and scientific research, and increase the visibility and international standing of Algerian universities at both the regional and international levels.
