The University of Tlemcen concluded, on Thursday, 16 July 2026, a four-day training session dedicated to the implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 international standard. Held at the Central Library Conference Hall, this initiative forms part of the University's strategic commitment to fostering a culture of quality, enhancing institutional performance, and strengthening its governance practices.
The closing ceremony was chaired by the Rector of the University, Prof. Mourad MEGHACHOU, and attended by the Vice-Rectors, Deans of Faculties, Vice-Deans, Heads of Departments, and Directors of Administrative Services, reflecting the University's collective commitment to advancing quality management across all academic and administrative structures.
Under the scientific supervision of Prof. Fatima Yousfi, the training programme featured a series of lectures, practical workshops, and interactive sessions focusing on the requirements of the Quality Management System and the mechanisms for its effective implementation within the University. Participants explored the fundamental principles of the ISO 9001:2015 standard, with particular emphasis on the harmonization of administrative practices, process optimization, performance enhancement, and the promotion of a culture of continuous improvement in line with internationally recognized quality management standards.
This training session represents a significant milestone in the University's ongoing efforts to implement and consolidate its quality management system. It has strengthened the preparedness of both academic and administrative structures while reinforcing the principles of good governance, organizational effectiveness, and institutional excellence. Furthermore, it reflects the University's commitment to continuous improvement and alignment with international best practices in quality management.
