Following the entry into force in Algeria of the Hague Convention of 5 October 1961 abolishing the requirement of legalisation for foreign public documents (Apostille Convention), effective on 9 July 2026, the University of Tlemcen has implemented a new system for the authentication of academic diplomas and educational documents intended for use abroad.

This system enables the authentication of university documents destined for States Parties to the Hague Convention through the national digital Apostille platform. It contributes to the simplification of administrative procedures, reduces processing times, and eliminates the need for traditional consular legalization for the countries concerned. Since its implementation, nearly 60 applications have been processed, demonstrating the University's commitment to digital transformation and the continuous improvement of the quality of its administrative services.

Through this initiative, the University of Tlemcen reaffirms its commitment to modernizing public higher education services, continuously enhancing the quality of its administrative support, and assisting students and graduates in their administrative procedures, in line with national reforms aimed at advancing digitalization, simplifying administrative processes, and improving the efficiency of public services.
