Following the evaluation meeting chaired by Pr. Kamel Baddari, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, on 2 September 2026, focusing on preparations for the 2026–2027 academic year, the Rector of the University of Tlemcen, Pr.MEGHACHOU Mourad, accompanied by Pr. BENSAIM Bounouar, vice-rector for pedagogy, conducted a field inspection of university residences operated by the Mansourah University Services Directorate, in the presence of Ms Khadidja BECHELAGHEM, Director of the Mansourah University Services Directorate.

The first stop was the Maliha Hamidou female University residence, where the delegation inspected the various facilities and spaces allocated to students, and reviewed the progress of ongoing refurbishment, cleaning and maintenance works. Particular attention was also given to accommodation and reception arrangements, as well as the services planned for students.

The visit forms part of the on-site monitoring of measures being implemented ahead of the new academic year and aims to strengthen coordination between the University of Tlemcen and the Mansourah University Services Directorate. It also reflects the university’s commitment to ensuring suitable reception and accommodation arrangements and providing students with an appropriate environment for university life and study.
