As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month (Pink October), the Preventive Medicine Unit of Abou-Bekr Belkaid University – Tlemcen is organising, on 11 October 2026, an awareness day dedicated to the early detection of breast cancer, across the university’s four campuses:
- Ring road pole
- Imama pole
- Chetouane pole
- University of medical sciences pole
This initiative is being organised with the participation of Algerian Red Crescent students, who are working alongside the Preventive Medicine Centre to promote health information and awareness within the university community.
The event aims to highlight the importance of early detection, promote healthy habits, and enhance awareness of the available means of breast cancer prevention and detection.
Awareness and early detection are simple steps that can help protect our health and reduce the risks associated with the disease.
