On the occasion of the 65th anniversary of national emigration day, the University of Tlemcen pays tribute to the victims of the October 17, 1961 demonstrations in Paris, which symbolized the Algerian people's struggle for freedom and independence.

Held this year under the slogan “from the depths of memory to the horizons of the future” the commemoration reaffirms Algeria’s commitment to preserving its national memory and honoring the noble values and sacrifices of its martyrs.
