University assesses PROTOMARKET 1 projects during national visit

The University of Tlemcen, through its i2E Student Centre, has hosted a national visit to evaluate and support projects from the first edition of the PROTOMARKET 1 programme, which funds marketable prototypes. Held under the supervision of the University's Rector, Prof .MEGHACHOU Mourad , the visit aimed to take stock of progress and help project holders turn their prototypes into marketable products.
The national delegation included Prof. AZIZI Nadir, National Coordinator of University Incubators at the National Committee for the Coordination and Monitoring of Innovation, University Entrepreneurship and Interfaces, and Mr.SAADOUN Karim , representing the National Agency for the Valorisation of Research Results and Technological Development (ANVREDET). The delegation was received by Prof.HAMZA CHERIF Ali , Vice-Rector for External Relations, Cooperation, Outreach, Communication and Scientific Events, in the presence of Prof.SARI HASSOUN Zakaria , Director of the i2E Centre and a coordinator within the same committee.
During the meeting, students who had benefited from the funding presented the progress of their prototypes and outlined the technical and technological difficulties they were facing. Following an on-site evaluation, members of the delegation offered advice and recommendations to help them finalise their work and improve the market readiness of their prototypes.
Discussions also covered the valorisation of university innovation and ways of turning innovative ideas into marketable products and services, with the potential to give rise to high-value start-ups. The initiative illustrates the vital role of support in moving from an idea to a prototype, and then to a product, while strengthening the university's position in the innovation ecosystem and reinforcing the links between scientific research and the economic environment
