The University of Tlemcen celebrated the National Chahid Day commemoration ceremony, which coincides with the date of February 18, 2024, in Room 19 (Imama Pole).
This ceremony, which took place in the presence of Professor Meghachou Mourad, Rector of the University of Tlemcen, vice-rectors, deans of faculties, teachers, students, and social partners, was marked by the reading of the verses of the Holy Quran, the national anthem, followed by a series of words and lectures in memory of the Shuhada of the glorious war of national liberation.
On this occasion, Pr. Meghachou Mourad, rector of the university, expressed his deep gratitude and pride for the sacrifice of the martyrs. Stressing the importance of preserving national history in the construction of a new Algeria
For his part, Prof. Abdenour Abderrahmane led a conference in which he highlighted the bibiography of the Shuhadahs and their heroic struggle. Calling in this context the main achievements of the people through their sacrifices.
In this wake, Pr. Abdenour Abderrahmane recalled the main challenges facing our country today, following the way of the martyrs in building a better future for the country.
The ceremony emphasized the importance of instilling love of the homeland and national unity in future generations through the promotion of national history, rich in epics.
