National Colloquium:“Women’s Empowerment: Supporting Rights or Promoting Equality?”

On February 2, 2026, the laboratory of Strategic Studies and Political Research at the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences hosted a national colloquium titled:
“Women’s Empowerment: Supporting Rights or Promoting Equality?”
The event was chaired by Pr.BERRAHOU Siham, Head of the Political Analysis Research Unit at the laboratory, who delivered the opening address, highlighting the academic and societal significance of the topic. The colloquium was officially inaugurated by Pr.AYAD Mohamed Samir, Director of the Laboratory,Dr. OUAHIB Fathi , Dean of the Faculty; and Dr.MESSOUADI Younes, Head of the Department of Political Sciences.
The conference brought together teachers from 18 higher education institutions, who presented their research across five scientific sessions. Nearly fifty academic papers were delivered, addressing legal, political, social, and institutional dimensions of women’s empowerment. The discussions fostered engaged dialogue and knowledge exchange between students and professors, creating a dynamic platform for reflection and scholarly debate.
The colloquium lasted approximately four hours and provided a unique opportunity to consolidate academic perspectives on gender equality, strengthen collaborative networks, and advance research in this critical field. Organizers extended their gratitude to all participants, contributors, and supporters, expressing the intention to renew this scientific gathering in the near future.
