The LLC Research Laboratory and the English Department at the University of Tlemcen are honoured to announce the programme for their First Online International Conference on Online Pedagogy, chaired by Prof. Faiza Haddam and Dr Kamila Ghouali. The Organising Committee is chaired by Dr Ameur-Said Zakarya, while the Scientific Committee is headed by Prof. Hayat Messekher. This scientific event will be held at the new Faculty of Foreign Languages on 4 and 5 February 2026.
This international event will bring together speakers and experts from the United States, the United Kingdom, Mauritius, Jordan, India, and several Algerian universities. Its aim is to promote scientific and academic exchanges on topics related to online education, distance learning, and innovative teaching practices in the current context of the digital transformation of higher education. The conference will conclude with a round table discussion to establish a forum for dialogue between experts and teachers and to formulate practical, actionable recommendations. This session will bring together teachers who have delivered online courses and specialists in the field to enrich the discussions and consolidate the proposed perspectives.
The recommendations resulting from this session will be sent to Prof. Faiza Haddam, Head of Distance Learning in English (FAD) at the University of Tlemcen, Prof. Bounouar Bensaim, Vice-Rector in Charge of Graduation, and Ms Kara Terki Hadjira, Head of New Information and Communication Technologies (NTIC). The Department of English wishes this scientific initiative every success and extends its encouragement to all organisers and participants, hoping that this conference will contribute to strengthening academic cooperation and the continuous improvement of teaching practices.
