French-language Maghreb novel New postures, new aesthetics

Argumentary

In the third millennium, literary production in the Maghreb space has experienced a great profusion. Maghreb literature, with its diversity and complexity, continues to grow rich, renew, assert itself and develop over time. One of the major factors that has contributed to its development is its integration into the field of globalization. It is part of an environment characterized by mobility and movement, it also facilitates the flow of ideas and cultures. This literature seems to be a priori marked by differences and transformations due to the intersection of languages, genres, forms and speeches. It must be recognized that it is also based on a series of historical, cultural and socio-political encounters that contribute to a certain form of reconciliation between past and present. In this regard, the renewal of the French-language Maghreb novel, in line with the 21st century, usheres in new literary postures (J. Meizoz, literary postures. Modern staging by the author, 2007, p. 45). A new generation of writers borrows a literary identity that allows them to occupy a position in the "literary field" (P. Bourdieu, The Literary Field, 1991, p. 29). On this day of study, it is a question of how these authors shape their image and construct an auctorial singularity according to the demands of the time, according to public expectations and contexts; we cite an example, A. Benmalek, Y. Khadra, B. Sansal, H. Grine, S. Bachi, Mr. Bey, F. Laroui, Mr. Mokeddem and others. With a view to literary creativity that characterizes these authors, new themes and aesthetics have emerged in resonance with the socio-political changes that have taken place in this space in recent decades. Themes that reflect and reflect a reality rooted in the news and fuelled by dissension and challenges. Many writers (from the Maghreb space or the diaspora) transgressing taboos and censors, attempt to write in an approach of the forbidden, located between history, intimacy, individual and collective. They offer another broad view of man by questioning the articulations and issues that can help to think the world differently. It was in this mindset that this literature was able to evolve and thus find its field of investment. As for the aesthetic dimension, which is a fundamental component of any literature, it advocates ways of writing that fit in with plurality, diversity, subversion and hybridity, it invites us to consider how writers rethink the literary space and lend to the romanesque genre a prose and techniques that push back the traditional frameworks of speech. In view of this new movement in the Maghreb novel, the aim of this day of study is to focus its theme on the following axes (the list is not exhaustive):  New movement(s) of the French-language Maghreb novel.  The postural construction of the Maghreb author in the era of globalization.  A literature with plural scripts.  Writing process and development of an aesthetic of singularity.  The speech denouncing: postural and rhetorical strategies of unveiling and forbidding it.
